Fabiola Delva: You're measuring the one thing. What are you measuring? Because whatever you measure will eventually determine whether you believe you're making progress. Some people measure money. Some measure followers. There's nothing wrong with any of those things. They all have one problem. They come later. You don't control when people follow you. You don't control when someone hires you. You don't control when your business takes off. You don't even control when people recognize your work. But there is something you do control. Action. Or as I like to call it in this podcast, participation. Participation is simply action before the applause. It's recognition. It's recording the episode before anyone listens. It's submitting the application before anyone says yes. Participation is really showing up before the results have cut up. And I think that's where many of us get discouraged. We're measuring outcomes when maybe we should be measuring action. So ask yourself a different question. As if I'm asking Am I successful yet? Ask Did I participate today? Did I move? Did I make the call? Did I send the email? Did I practice? Did I write? Because here's what I've learned. Results have a delay. Action doesn't. You can finish today knowing you moved your life forward even if nothing around you looks different yet. That's a better measurement. Because if you measure action, you keep showing up. And if you keep showing up, eventually, results have something to find. So today measure the thing you control, not the thing you don't. Measure your participation. Measure your action. Measure whether you answered. Everything else will take care of itself. This is waiting that working. I'm Fabiola. I'll see you soon.
